Their material production often left only negligible traces . Their apprehension through the study of the material vestiges in ancient sites, constitute the fundamental basis of archaeology. The archaeological site of Moutourwa-Badjava was discovered in the Diamaré region in March 2014. , It is rich in organic vestiges, stone tools and ceramics in situ, so is of great scientific interest. The systematic prospecting of the site, followed by surveys and analysis of the material data collected on the surface and extracted from the earth, permits in the present state of the research, to determine some aspects of the ways of life of the people having occupied this old village . Mobile and dormant grinding stones, the usual and ritual potteries already testify in favour of people of farmers which were probably conscious of a life after the life. The absence of the absolute dates to the present stage of the investigations doesn’t allow proposing a reliable chronology on the occupation and the exploitation of the site of Moutourwa-Badjava. However, in the waiting of the laboratory analyses, one can suggest an old and continuous occupation since the Neolithic, started in the beginning of the II nd millennial at least before our era, in comparison with the general chronology of the setting up of the populations in the northern Cameroon. The material vestiges still places that constitute unpublished historic documents are however threatened by aggressions of natural and human origins. Under this alarming report, some urgent actions are required to preserve the disappearance of these archives when it is still time. Inventory, typology and analysis of the vestiges discovered in Badjava/Moutourwa, identification of the threats on the archaeological heritage and proposition of the lifesaving measures, constitute the main articulations of this article. Key words: Moutourwa-Badjava, archaeological site, vestiges, threats, Preservation, Valorisation.      UR - http://www.vestiges-journal.info/2017/pdf/nizesete_2017.pdf ER -
